I traded my 70 Super Bee and built this black Charger R/T 1969. It's all 1969 except the wheels and tires and so much fun to drive! It has the 440 Magnum with the Hemi 4 speed, Diana rear-end that it came with from the factory.

In 1982 My brother in law decided to make the X a little more presentable (it was only a $200.00 car and that was debatable). As some of these things get out of hand this one sure did. He spent the next 9 years taking apart and rebuilding every thing on it. I guess he just burned out, and asked if I wanted the thing. At first I was happy, but he said "You don't know how much there is to do and you are going to hate me and this car sometimes" .........he was right.

When I got the car to my place Kathy, my wife, very understanding she is, she quietly said "what is it?" Well dear it's a car I said, it will be a green GTX. But I think all she saw was all the "green" it was going to take to make this even look like a car.

Well 4 years later we finished it and this is what we ended up with. 1968 GTX, 440 engine, 4spd trans. And if it could be taken off, it was, then refinished. I'll never try that again. We do like it though and I think it was worth every dime.

The Superbee has: 383 engine, 4 spd, 3/91 gears, sublime paint, white seats and door panels and black carpet. This one we got in good shape all we had to do was fix some poor wiring and do a little cleaning....OK a lot of cleaning but it's a lot of fun and it just screams MOPAR.
